On 9-8-12 at 0011 hrs the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office reported a car-pedestrian accident on Drake Rd near W. KL Ave.

A deputy working in Oshtemo Twp was south bound on Drake Road when he witnessed an intoxicated male crossing Drake Road walking toward the west. The deputy noticed the subject had stopped in the roadway and was now standing in the south bound lanes. Just has the deputy was advising the male to move out of the roadway, a vehicle traveling southbound on Drake Road struck the male subject with his vehicle.

The victim was attended to by Kalamazoo County Deputies and Oshtemo Fire and Rescue. Life ambulance transported the victim to Bronson Hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition. The Victim was identified as a 44 year old Kalamazoo resident
