9:00am - Meets Tuesday mornings at 9am. Meet on the KRV Trail, beginning at the 10th Street parking lot near the Caboose, two miles north of W. Main.

What type of tree is that? What kind of bird is making that sound off in the distance? If you have ever been on the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail and had similar wonders, join us as we share a little knowledge!

Join Dan Keto from the Kalamazoo Nature Center and bike the newest stretch of trail to see what colorful songsters we might find. The guided ride is free, fun and educational! For questions and registration, please call 373-5073 Don't forget your bike!

05/16 - 05/16 Nordic Walking Clinic
What uses more muscle groups and burns more calories than walking, but with less exertion than running? Nordic Walking! This aerobic activity is perfect for all fitness levels including those recovering from sports related injuries.

Nordic walking is a way of walking utilizing specially designed poles that allow you to exerise on any surface. Easy to learn with no more physical exertion than regular walking, Nordic walking burns more calories, takes in more oxygen, relieves strain on hips, knees and ankles, tones the upper body and improves posture. Come learn more about the technique and benefits of Nordic walking and experience walking with the poles first hand. Poles will be probided for use during the clinic, but participants are more than welcome to bring their own as well.


All ages are welcome, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up is free, but pre-registration is required. Please call 373-5073 for registration and questions
